NaPoWriMo 2018, Day 30: "The Only Game in Town" by Ian Erinson
The Only Game in Town
"If you think we ought to pay more taxes,
why not just ahead, send Uncle Sam
a few hundred extra on your own account?
What's stopping you?"
If we're in a rigged game, pal, me slipping a bribe to the house
won't make the play more honest.
We need a new deck, new dealer--
hell, we need a new goddam game!
This one's for chumps, but it's the only one in town.
