About Me

I'm a software engineer and writer. My works (mostly poems) have appeared in a number of publications, including the periodicals Thorny Locust, Daily Science Fiction, Paper and Ink Literary Zine, and I-70 Review, and the anthologies Chance of a Ghost, The Whirlybird Anthology of Kansas City Writers, and the 365 Poems anthologies 1, 2, and 3. My self-published poetry chapbooks include Look/Don't Look, Cabinet of Fossils, Glitch, If By That, and Love, Careful Love. I was the typist and proofreader for a chapbook by my late canine friend, Lucy Barker, Not Your Good Girl. (50% of the proceeds from Not Your Good Girl are donated to the KC Pet Project.) I'm a part of Riverfront Readings, which has been producing readings of poetry and literary fiction in the Kansas City area for over 30 years.
