The following are the books I plan to read in the near future. I'm sure I'll end 2019 with only a few of these crossed off. I won't necessarily read them in the order they're listed below, and I'll be reading other books in-between or simultaneously.

  • The Tale of Genji, by Murasaki Shikibu
  • Mrs Dalloway, by Virginia Woolf
  • H.D.'s Trilogy:
    • The Walls do not Fall
    • Tribute to the Angels
    • The Flowering of the Rod
  • Don Quixote, by Miguel de Cervantes (A re-read, but to be honest I'm not sure I finished it the first time I started it ever so many years ago.)
  • Tristram Shandy, by Laurence Sterne
  • Emily Wilson's translation of Homer's Odyssey
  • Tender Buttons, by Gertrude Stein (I don't feel up to tackling The Making of Americans just yet.)
  • Nightwood, by Djuna Barnes

I think that's quite ambitious enough for now.
